ewis and Clark led their "Corps of Discovery" across North America from 1803 to 1806. From 2003 to 2006, commemorations of this historic journey will march across the continent as well. The Lewis & Clark Bicentennial will celebrate key points along the Lewis & Clark Trail, spanning 19 states and stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
Just like Lewis and Clark did.
Montana will take center stage during much of the commemoration. Believe it or not, nearly 25 percent of the entire Lewis & Clark Trail, as well as almost half of the recognized campsites, are in Montana. So if you're a travel writer or journalist, Big Sky Country is a great place to start. To help you do just that, this online kit is filled with information to help you brainstorm story ideas and angles, or simply fill out existing articles; just follow any of the major links above to find out more.
After all, Lewis and Clark spent more travel time in Montana than any other state. Maybe your story should do the same. |
